Northern Hemisphere: Species Conservation by York University

Using a Node-Link diagram, I decode a dataset and explore the connections between why certain species are disappearing in the North. This includes exploring the different animal attributes, and understanding how human involvement presents itself in many forms; negatively impacting animal populations in the North. Climate change, resource extraction, overhunting, and habitat loss are among the topics explored in this dataset. The lines and their different patterns indicate links between the species who share the same reasons for population depletion. The Nodes are shown in the circles, and depict more information on each animal, including the severity of their population loss, habitats, diet, and how many are left in the wild.
