The Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards celebrates excellence & beauty in data visualization, infographics, interactives & information art.
Every year, hundreds of visualizations are submitted to the Awards. Our judges review each entrant for how well it suits the medium (infographic, interactive, data visualization and more) & how well it illuminates the topic: Arts, Entertainment & Culture, News & Current Affairs, Maps, Places & Spaces, People, Language & Identity, Politics & Global, Science & Technology, Humanitarian, Leisure, Games & Sport, Visualization & Information Design - and for everything outside the box: Unusual.
How it’s possible
The Awards were set up in 2012 by David McCandless, journalist and datavisualizer of Information is Beautiful, in collaboration with Aziz Cami, the then Creative Director at Kantar, now succeeded by the current Creative Director, Emma Whitehead.
The Awards are judged by a panel of experts & a public vote. It's open to creators from across the spectrum - rising stars, students, individual practitioners, established studios, media brands, NGOs and more.
