The Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards celebrate excellence and beauty in data visualizations, infographics, interactives & information art.
For 2017 some big changes are on the way. The first is we're retooling categories by subject. So whether your work is an infographic, an interactive or some other type of data-driven art, our judges will be testing how well the piece illuminates the topic: Arts, Current Affairs, Corporate, Environments, Humanitarian, Science, Sports - and for everything outside the box: Unusual.
How it’s possible
The Awards were set up in 2012 by David McCandless, journalist and datavisualizer of Information is Beautiful, in collaboration with Aziz Cami, the then Creative Director at Kantar, now succeeded by the current Creative Director, Emma Whitehead.
The Awards are judged not only by a panel of experts but also via a public vote so members of our 300,000 strong community help decide who wins. It's open to creators from across the spectrum - rising stars, students, individual practitioners, established studios, media brands, NGOs and more.
Be inspired by the creativity of our 2016 winners. In addition to cash prizes, trophies and extensive media coverage, previous winners have gone on to gain book deals, art exhibitions, investment for their projects and fancy jobs at hot startups.
