Primary Energy Consumption by Brian Moore

This visualization shows the changes in energy consumption for 60 countries over a 50 year period. Each chart shows not only how total energy consumption has changed over that time, but also how the composition of energy sources has changed. Warm colors represent energy consumption from renewable sources, while cool colors represent energy consumption from fossil fuels. In the interactive version users can click on any energy source at the top of the screen to highlight that source throughout the visualization and to sort the countries based on the percent composition for that energy type. One of the attached images shows how the visualization appears when Nuclear energy is selected
