History of Space Exploration by Sarah Moore

The History of Space Exploration is hard to capture in one place, let alone define! Here you can view at a glance the growth of space exploration across countries and time.

Space exploration began far before the first human entered "outer space" (defined by the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) an altitude of at least 100 kilometers.) You can see the number of humans astronauts that traveled to space by country to the right. Explore the timeline to see what other advancements and exploration has taken place in space besides just human flight!

What do you think the world could discover next in space?

This was my submission to the Viz2Educate challenge for History. They seek to empower students by providing quality educational resources that are free and easy to access and
help to inspire the next generation to get into data visualization.
