"Breaking Barriers: Deaf Community Insights in Nigeria" is a volunteer project in collaboration with Viz for Social Good and the Global Deaf Research Institute. It presents findings from a survey of the Nigerian deaf community, highlighting areas such as health, communication, quality of life, experiences, and discrimination. The goal is to challenge harmful stereotypes and raise awareness about the real lives of deaf individuals. The data, cleaned using Python, ensures accurate representation of the community’s experiences. Through this visualization, the project aims to foster understanding, promote inclusivity, and open doors for better opportunities and support for the deaf, both in Nigeria and globally.
