APRAGAREAL by Italo Doliva

About two years after publishing "Geography of the Use of Pesticides in Brazil and Connections with the European Union", Larissa Bombardi, a professor and researcher on pesticide use in Brazil, went into exile in order to avoid more critical consequences of the persecution and threats she was suffering due to her work.

I was interested in transitioning from data analysis to data visualization, but it was my desire in demonstrating support for Larissa and helping to raise awareness about the abusive use of agrochemicals in Brazil that led me to create APRAGAREAL.

APRAGAREAL enables comparison of maximum pesticide residue limits allowed in Brazil and European Unio, and shows Brazilian deputies' stance on a Bill that aims to further relax current pesticide legislation.

Prior to this work, I had no experience with D3.js and ReactJS.
