A WALL HANGING TAPESTRY THAT BRINGS DATA TO LIFE IN A TANGIBLE WAY

This innovative physical data visualisation project uses macrame and weaving techniques to craft a large tapestry measuring 1.9m in height and 90cm in width.

The dashboard brings attention to how our actions towards both our environment – measured by CO2 emissions – and mental wellbeing – measured by the share of population with depression – are intertwined. The Happy Planet Index at the top of the tapestry enables governments to track their progress against long-term objectives for sustainable development that ensures life is happy.

This work calls on governments for responsibility towards both people and planet alike. It is a reminder of the power we have over our own destinies.
