The Inside Scoop of Ben & Jerry's by Hesham Eissa

2020 was a hard year for everyone. Data journalism had shifted to mainly (and importantly) covering Covid-19 related news. We wanted to provide a release from the seriousness of the news and allow for readers to learn more about a universally popular topic, ice cream.

As frequent ice cream consumers in different countries, with different preferences, we wanted to know more about our favorite ice cream brand, Ben & Jerry's. How did options in the U.S. and U.K. differ? What were we missing out on by only buying our favorite flavors? We challenged ourselves to find the best way to tell an engaging, joyful story.
