Intesa Organizational Knowledge Map by Center for Design, Northeastern University
Assuming companies as social complex systems and the network as a visualization and organizational paradigm, Intesa Organizational Knowledge Map is an experimental web application designed and developed for Intesa Bank to support human resources managers in exploring personnel data to better understand the distribution of knowledge and skills within their organization. It can be used to assess employee fit based on their knowledge and skills, identify opportunities for training programs to target needed skills, and support future business plans by simulating changes in knowledge distribution. It enables a better positioning and representation of the employee in complex, typically big, organizations, for the benefit of both the employee and the company.
