Solar Eclipse Patterns by Nisa Marques

The Saros cycle governs the periodicity and recurrence of solar eclipses. When two eclipses are separated by a period of one Saros (period of around 18 years), they share a very similar geometry.
This visualisation looks into the patterns created by decades of solar eclipses, highlighting the different types of eclipse and the commonalities within each eclipse type.
