Crime is the most important issue - but it depends on who you ask by birmingham city university

This story aims to show the different ways of looking at a survey.

The survey is about the issues that voters think are the most important ahead of the elections in Sweden. The issue of crime came at the top for the first time since the polls began in the 1980s. Nearly all mainstream media reported about the survey and about crime being the most important issue.

I noticed that it was the case only for two of four age groups, and the top issue of the other age group did not get much attention in the media. Also, the experts in the subject had differing views. I highlighted these.

In addition, I also showed a historical evolution of the issue in comparison with other top issues and created an explore section for the readers to compare different survey groups themselves.
