Hunt and Gather by Self

2020 forced many of us into survival mode (think empty toilet paper shelves), and heightened our awareness of how vulnerable we actually are to securing basic necessities. This map documents all of the locations that I hunted for food (i.e. traveled in person for groceries, takeaway, etc) and all of the locations I gathered food from (i.e. all restaurants I ordered delivery from through an app service). Locations with more rings show those I ordered from multiple times. The Charles River is the shape at the north of the map. I've kept geographic accuracy but removed all the roads because with mass transit and food getting delivered to your doorstep, the roads don't really matter in how we perceive space and the virtual journey of our food, and the topography only matters on occasion.
