Elemental Flows by Nadieh Bremer

This is a data art collection of 4 + 1, both hiding and revealing data about some of the most important elements that we humans (now) need to live; Earth, Water, Air, Sun + Digital. They all stem from the same underlying algorithm. However, each piece is differently fine-tuned to form a representation of their element.

For all pieces, except Digital which is determined by randomness, data was added specifically relevant to the element as "obstacles" in the flows. Tree density for Earth, rainfall for Water, air quality for Air, and sunshine hours for Sun. Not meant to be read, not meant to reveal trends or patterns, but to create an awareness of how humans are intertwined with nature, how we depend on it, but how we _block_ its natural flows with our human machinations.
