Smoking in Australia by Alana Pirrone

Since the 1990s, there have been a number of public health interventions to encourage people to quit smoking This combined with a constant increase in the price of a packet of cigarettes has seen a steady decline in the number of smokers in Australia. It is predicted by 2020, a standard packet of cigarettes will cost over $40 a packet and the number of smokers in Australia will be down to about 10%.
