Homeless Heroes by Ethan Lang

In the military veterans in the United States face many challenges after separating from active duty. As a veteran of the Iraq war I have personally faced many of those challenges in my own journey. That is why I have turned to dat visualization to bring awareness of the challenges veterans undergo. In this visualization I used data from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to map the number of veterans that are homeless in each state in the United States. The data depicts a sad story that our war heroes face homelessness across the US. However, some states are finding ways to overcome the problem.
