The Dublin Heatwave by Aimee Stewart

With the fine weather on everyone's lips this summer, I decided to investigate if this really was the best summer ever. I sourced data from Met Eireann—the Irish meteorological service—and used a formula to calculate an official heatwave. The Davis Index looks at temperature, sunshine hours and rainfall. It turns out we've had ONE heatwave since records began in 1942. Cancel the stay cation!
