Comprehensive datasets tell better stories. Chris Persaud has built the superb Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks tool using census data to lay bare the wildly differing income levels across every US city.
An intuitive colour scale and a familiar maps interface allow for in-depth exploration on some fascinating data. A big ask considering how much work must have gone into cities alone, but we’d love to see how this format would look applied across the whole country. Any takers?
